(More customer reviews)I bought this pointer to to executive level presentations with, and once I opened the package I found the pointer to be hard to use, the buttons require significant force to depress them and the quality of the line feature of the pointer is poor.
Spend your money elsewhere on a different product. I bought it because of the brand name, and that was a let down.

(More customer reviews)If you've looked around for laser pointers, you know that they tend to be very wide. Once you get into the thinner, more compact versions, the choices quickly narrow. Looking in your local Office Depot type store, it's highly unlikely that you'll find a non-keychain laser pointer that uses a battery smaller than a AA or AAA. While most similarly minded items are inexpensive, they also tend to be so poorly made that they are virtually disposable. You really get what you pay for with these items. After years of looking for a high quality, thin laser pointer, the winner is the Apollo Executive. It is thin, stylish and built like a tank. My laser pointers get a great deal of use and abuse. While I've gone through lesser items in one to three months, I've had Executives last me years. The first and most likely part of any laser pointer to go is the button. Again, this button mechanism is blast proof. In addition to reliability, the red beam is bright enough. The device uses two AAAA batteries, which are easier to find and change when compared to the typical button cell batteries that most similarly sized laser pointers use. This is one of the more expensive (non-tactical) laser pointers that you'll find. While it's easy to find thin laser pointers that cost less, I have yet to find any that compare in quality.

(More customer reviews)This unit is much brighter than another green laser I used to own (which dimmed after switching on). The beam output is constantly bright, and I can see the beam in a semi-darkened room, in fact, I can see the beam under my desk in a well lit office. With a magnifying glass I can actually burn small holes in black dustbin liner (don't try this at home!). It's well made, feels nice and comes in a smart foam lined steel case. This is definitely the best laser pointer I've ever had. Highly recommended.

No, it's not red - it's greenOkay, just about everyone has a red laser pointer. Heck, we even sell a fine one here at ThinkGeek. But, we're pretty sure you want to be a superior geek - and doing it with a green laser is the way to go.This pointer is significantly brighter (about 50 times) than a red laser pointer and because of its unusual color it is much more noticeable. I mean come on, a 532 nm green laser wavelength is obviously superior to a laughable 650 nm red laser wavelength. And unlike a red laser, the green beam itself can be seen in mid-air in dark conditions, not just the laser beam dot. There are a number of pictures floating around the web of green laser pointers but almost all of them are fake or at the very least a poor representation of the actual light beam. Overall its a great laser pointer but it is a little expensive and your not getting a light saber as some of the pictures would have you believe.
