I compared the camera on the Canon site against the others and there were very minor differences listed. Wheb I started reading the manual, the differences between the H31, H30 and H300 jumped out at me. I would now choose to spend the extra for one of the others. The H300 is as advertised, but the extra features would have been worth the extra money.
The extra items in the kit are nice to have, if you don't already have most of them (tripod and bag mainly) The memory provided is the slower (4) type. It works for fine for the lower formats but the faster (6) is suggested for the high def. The item was shipped for free and was here in 3 business days. Overall, I am happy with what I got for the price I paid.
