(More customer reviews)I bought this case not long after I got my iPod when I realized video playback only displays one way on the screen. It wasn't very comfortable having to hold the iPod for the length of a movie (of in my case an episode of Dexter). When looking at kickstand cases, all of the ones I saw looked kind of flimsy and cheap which made me wary. I ended up buying this one mainly because it was the cheapest at the time at $15.00. When I got it, it was about what I expected; thin, cheap feeling plastic and a similar kickstand.
Regardless, it served the purpose I bought it for so I wasn't too unhappy with the money I spent. It snaps onto the iPod pretty easily and keeps a pretty secure hold on the device- I've not had it come off accidentally once since I've had it. My only problem with it now that I've had it for a while is that the stand clip, which is on the side of the case and is just an indent in the plastic (which again speaks to the relative cheapness of the make) has worn down enough that the stand will slip out and come up if I am not paying attention. I'm worried that it will unlatch without my knowledge and I'll accidentally break it off.
That being said, what really impressed me, however, was the company I bought it from. Not long after I got it, I received an email asking me to rate the product. I think I gave 3 stars at the time because of the cheap feel. A week later I got a phone call from a representative of the company asking me what had caused me to rate it three stars and what they could do to fix it. She even offered to send me another type of case. I declined as I wasn't angry with the product and it was still working for the purpose I bought it for. Not wanting to give a bad rep to the company for a product, I had the lady walk me through the steps to remove my review.
So all in all, the storefront I bought it from (eBigValue) is an excellent one and I would buy from them again if they have something I need simply for the fact they cared enough to call and make right whatever problems I had. The product itself, is, like you would imagine from the pictures kind of cheap but for the money it costs now ($10.00 at the time of this writing) you can't really do much better, especially now that the new iPod's are out. You'll get about six months out of it like I did and at 10 bucks you can just buy a new one if need be without feeling like you lost a huge amount of money.
So I suppose I recommend it if you need a cheap case, but there are better quality (and subsequently more expensive) ones out there if you are looking for something more long term. I give it four stars.
