Skullcandy S7PIBN-CZ Pipe Speaker Dock for iPod and iPhone (Chrome) Review

Skullcandy S7PIBN-CZ Pipe Speaker Dock for iPod and iPhone (Chrome)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
One of the best sounding and looking portable speakers with an iPod dock.
1. Style
- Bought these in Chrome... but all of them are VERY sleek and VERY stylish. The cylindrical tube shape does need a bit of getting used to, and the small size is a major plus for those on the go. The nifty remote control really tops it all off- which I might add: though stated on the manual that the remote is only effective up to about 10ft, I have successfully gotten them to work at about 30-35ft away.... and now the best part...
... 2. Sound!
These are one of the BEST sounding portable speakers availible, up there with the LG MSP-100 folding speakers, which is my personal favorite. Both speaker sets are VERY loud while retaining clarity, but the Skullcandy Pipes do have a bit more on the low end/bass tones.
Running either on the AC wall adapter or AAA battery option, these babies pump out a whopping 5.6 Watts max! (Pretty Good considering their size, the LG MSP-100's only pumped out 4 Watts.)
These DO tend to distort at high volumes, but it's mainly only the low's that cause it. The Mids and Highs are still somewhat clear, but the distortion of the Lows really just ruins the music at those volumes.
AUDIOPHILE REVIEW:
Now, these do have weak lows and decent mids and decent highs.
*****These tested to have a freq. range of: 50hz-20khz.*****
The sound is slightly better when plugged into the wall.
As expected, the sound is only decent while on battery power.
3. Overall Opinion
These are GREAT speakers for those wanting to replace that boombox/radio sitting on their desk at home or work, and for those who want to share their music while on the go- at a picnic, or just hanging out at a party on the beach! These speakers do pack quite a surprising punch despite thier decievingly small size. The $69.99 price tag Target and some other retailers give these DOES seem a bit high, but the lower prices seen on eBay and Amazon do make a BIT more sense though sometimes a bit too low. $45-$55 seems a bit more appropriate.
BOTTOM LINE: BUY THEM! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Ultra Slim Zinc Metal Chrome License Plate Camera Review

Ultra Slim Zinc Metal Chrome License Plate Camera
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Bought this camera for my Honda Odyssey and it is connected to a Pioneer AVH 3200BT head unit. The camera is wonderful in all lighting situations. My van's reverse lights provide enough ambient light for a clear nighttime video. The quality of the video itself is great and beats my expectations. I was expecting a grainy picture that was just clear enough to make out what was behind when backing out on our driveway (We have kids & pets running around all time and wanted to prevent any unfortunate accidents). But this camera far surpasses that and provide a crystal clear picture.
However, the installation is not as clean as I would have hoped. I got it installed at Best Buy and the technician did not use the included hex bolts because he complained "there is no way I can use them on the van without drilling some holes". I am not technically inclined and took him at this word. I plan to investigate a little further and fix this issue. Currently the camera is installed with the original license plate bolts, with the bottom two holes being open.
Overall, I would highly recommend this backup camera for clarity & build quality. Will update this review on its durability after a couple of months.

Bush Furniture Midnight Mist Audio Tower, Black/Chrome Review

Bush Furniture Midnight Mist Audio Tower, Black/Chrome
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
The Bush Midnight Mist Audio Tower is handome and sturdy. It fits in with anything in the room. Audio components easily fit and the cord cover in the back is a great idea. A caution here is that it definitely needs 2 people to assemble it. That is not the major problem. The Bush Company could stand tighter quality control standards in aligning the drill holes for the screws. Some of them were too tight and had to be "worked" larger. (Those are metal components, not wood.) One screw hole was so poorly misaligned the scew would only fit halfway in crooked fashion. It took considerable "grunt work" just to do that. Luckily, in this case, it faces the back of the unit. The workmanship of the drill holes was a large disappointment and caused much unecessary work. Outside of that, it's a top notch audio cabinet that will stand for years and continue to look sharp.

Hard Candy Cases Chrome Bubble Slider Case for iPod touch 4G (Black) Review

Hard Candy Cases Chrome Bubble Slider Case for iPod touch 4G (Black)

Even though I bought this case mainly for protection reasons, as I have another case I bought for looks, this case ended up being good for both.
Very slick, cool look. The black chrome is such a good idea. If you have a screen protector this case will provide ultimate protection with a sweet look as well. Slides in and out of my pocket with ease, and all holes allow easy access to every port and button.
Overall, I have no complaints and all praise for my two cases for my iTouch.

Skullcandy S4CHBZ-BC Chops Earbuds, (Black/Chrome) Review

Skullcandy S4CHBZ-BC Chops Earbuds, (Black/Chrome)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I like listening to music when I exercise, but it's hard for me to find an earbud that will stay put when I'm in motion. Furthermore, I don't expect to treat my earbuds delicately, so don't want to spend a whole lot on them. I'd tried the Sennheiser twist-to-fit earbuds before, and they worked pretty well--they stayed in place and sounded OK. The only problems were that they'd be uncomfortable after an hour or so, and if you ever lost one of the little rubber discs that hold the earbud in, they're like $5 + shipping to replace (they couldn't cost more than $0.05 to manufacture.) I lost the discs on my latest pair, and decided to try these. These are the first Skullcandy phones I've tried, and they seem to do the job well. The main functionality I was looking for is there--they stay on my head, and they're comfortable (and don't have little parts that can fall off). The sound quality isn't anything to write home about, you hear your music, but it's tinny and there's no bass to speak of. Not a huge deal for me, I have better earbuds for when I'm not active and want to hear intricacies. Only drawback is that there's a connector jack in the middle of the wire. I don't know what the purpose of that is really, but for me, it just adds weight and provides another connection that can come loose. I've had to give it an extra squeeze now and then to make sure full contact is being made. All in all though, good product, and good for active use.

Griffin Reflect Chrome Mirrored Case for iPod nano 2G Review

Griffin Reflect Chrome Mirrored Case for iPod nano 2G
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
*Updated review, May, 2008: After just about 8 mos. of usage, the Griffin Reflect (for iPod Nano 2G) is now broken. The case doesn't hold the iPod anymore and it kept sliding. Though it's protective, the case gets lots of scratches and it makes the screen largely hard to read unless you're in a shaded area. One star out of 5. Old review:
Pros: Great-looking design gets ***** out of 5. Sleek and spare, there's the added visual bonus of the screen "disappearing" when the screen light is off and reappearing when it's back on. Protects your IPod from scratches and minor bumps but I'm not sure how it'll stand to drops and major impacts.
Cons: Highly impractical esp. if you use your iPod mostly outdoors. Strangely enough, you CANNOT see the screen when you're in bright or direct sunlight outdoors (you can see a bit in the shade). The whole case protects the iPod (with a matte rubber half in the back and the only opening on the iPod dial) so you can just see the screen in artifical light, not natural. Even then it's darker than normal. Also it's a little prone to marks and tiny scratches. In a span of more than a month, it's already gotten lots of tiny marks and possibly permanent smudges (Fantastick and Windex won't work). Also sensitive to the natural oils you get on your hands so fingerprints are a common sight though seemingly temporary.
Average: Three (3) out of 5 stars. If you're highly averse to those clunky protective cases, or horribly designed skins like I am, the great, unique look balances out the absurd lack of practicality of the Griffin Reflect. It won't last long is my guess. There's a very slight, barely noticeable, loosening of the case which I sense once in a while.

This chromed polycarbonate hardshell case has been polished to a mirror finish. The faceplate above the click wheel is a smooth unbroken expanse of mirror -- until the iPod screen lights up and is revealed as if by magic. The case back is a matte black rubberized finish that perfectly complements the chrome face and provides a comfortable, sure grip.
