This film is really fun to use. I've used it with outdoor/nature scenes, and the color is amazing. It is particularly dramatic if used with a warming filter. In my experience, one possible downside is that it also intensifies blues that occur with cloudy/snowy days.

I really miss Kodachrome film and it's hard to find a film that comes close let alone surpasses the quality of it. This is great film. The colors are richer than most slide film, and the texture comes out great- not too grainy and not too smooth, just enough to know you shot with film.

No, this film doesn't give you the hypersaturation of Fuji Velvia or Ektachrome 100VS. But I personally believe it is all the better for it. Colors are not 'obnoxious', and don't make things look unreal (as the aforementioned films SO often do). But at the same time, colors and contrast are not muted like negative film, either. You get things just as they are supposed to look in real life. And, in my opinion, this is the way a good film should be.
By the way, this film is SO similar to Fuji Provia that it could almost be considered a clone. Yet, I think it has a slight edge when it comes to color. And, although I have never looked closely enough, some have said that it gives more grain-free skies. I should also note that E100G is about as close as you can get to Kodachrome with an E6 film (although you can NEVER duplicate the look of Kodachrome with E6). So if you are looking for an E6 to use at times when you just don't want to deal with the lack of availability of Kodachrome OR the long turnaround time for processing, E100G is the way to go.

It's getting harder and harder to find 35mm slide film. While I also shoot digital, the color saturation and quality is superior with 35mm, especiall slide film. As a hobby, I shoot stereo pictures and project them for viewing. Slide film is a must. Thanks!

Elite Chrome 200 is a very fine product. The colors seem to pop out at you. They appear much more realistic than Fuji slide film which tends to be clownish in color. It uses an E6 process and can be done locally one to two days. I currently use Elite Chrome 100, 200, and 400. I love them all. I use a variety of cameras and I will say for novices this film will suit your needs. Exposure can be a little under and still render fantastic!
