(More customer reviews)These a speakers are not bad but they are not as good as the Legacy LS558S 5-Inch 180 Watt Two Way Speakers that I bought before these ones. I got these ones because their wattage rating is 60 watts higher per speaker than the Legacy LS558S and thought that they would sound better and handle more bass installed in the rear of my car, I was wrong. I ended up keeping my two Legacy LS558S's in the back and used these ones in the front of my car because even though they don't produce bass as well as the Legacy LS558S's, they still put out clean and loud high ends. So, even though they didn't work for what I had planned, they still ended up with good use and I am still happy I ordered them.
I recommend these speakers for high end applications as they put out better treble than bass
I recommend the Legacy LS558S 5-Inch 180 Watt TwoWay Speakers over thees ones because I compared both speakers, side by side, and (in my opinion) the LS558S's put out better sound, high end and low end, and I was a little more impressed with them overall.

Power Acoustik XP-653K 6.5-Inch Three-Way Full Range Speaker Review

(More customer reviews)The Power Acoustik XP-653K 6.5" speakers are a a huge step up from last years model (XP2K series). Every part of the speaker is better. The surround is a soft rubber than gives the speaker a longer lifespan and not foam like last years, the cone is stiffer, but could even be stiffer, and the voice coil is stronger. Power Acoustik changed from the electromagnet to a "regular style" magnet and this magnet is very strong when compared to other speakers in a $40-120 price range. The tweeters are silk domed and not plastic like the XP2K's. Also the basket is coated with a tough bed liner type material.
The Power Acoustik XP-653K XP 6.5" speakers sound so much better than last years XP2K, they even sound better than JL Audio's 6.5"s (JL Audio's don't produce enough highs), Toyota Tundra JBL System (JBL's don't produce enough highs, but have a lot more bass) and Alpine Type-S (not as clean sounding) series speakers. The mid bass is smooth, but the speaker does need more Xmax so the cone can travel further. The tweeters sound fantastic, not to bright, and you're able to hear so much more detail in a song, recording, or movie.
Just so everyone knows powering these with just the CD/DVD head unit will not make these speakers sound great. I'm using a Power Acoustik BAMF 1200/4 4-way amp. The BAMF1200/4 is sending 100 watts to each speaker and they sound so much better compared to when I was powering them with 50 watts each. Make sure your amp is 100 to 200 watts at 4 ohms with a Signal-to-Noise Ratio from 95 to 100 for best results.

Overall it's a great sounding and very attractive (the grill is ok) speaker, but I can't give it more than 4 out of 5 for performance because of the bass when I compared these to the JBL's. Power Acoustik really needs to increase the speakers cone travel.

(More customer reviews)I needed a battery for my car system. Wow, I thought. A Cap and Battery integrated into one. Cool idea. It says,"Battery/Capacitor Combo". Cool. The part I did not get was that it is NOT a "Battery/Capacitor Combo". Forget fine-print, reading the regular print doesnt help here. Actually, reading the title doesnt help either.
CONS:
1. Everything related here. The title, the information, Amazon for letting this display as it does... total and complete false advertising. Shame on Amazon.
2. ummm... I just spent $150 something and now have nothing to start my car.
After reading the manual, I guess I will replace my other cap since I now have two caps. This one should work better since it looks a lot bigger than normal caps... I still can not believe I spent over $150 on a stupid cap! This is the dumbest thing I have ever been swindled into. Maybe I should look into buying some land 90 miles South of the Keys? Want to sell me that next?? Liek I said.. I am an idiot. Do not be like me.

(More customer reviews)I used it for two hours. At the end of that time I attempted to reconfigure it with a different circuit design and the post broke right off when I tried to loosen the nut.
It worked like a charm while it was connected. As a general rule of thumb if you plan to keep it in one place and not disconnect and reconnect it a lot, go ahead and purchase it. I was using it in a bike generator capacity so that meant it would be reconnected a fair amount.

(More customer reviews)I bought this product to support my 2 12's, 2 amps, and 6 highs... This product wasnt the same Item that the the picture showed. In the picture capacitor is silver but when i opened the box i was suprised to see a red capacitor in a opened plastic that look like was intended to be for the original capacitor indicated in the picture. The red capacitor is a 3.5 Farad, on the plastic label it said 4 Farad capacitor so that was confirmation that they ripped it open and downgraded my product. Havent used the product yet but was highly upset that they opened my product and switched it with a less Farad Capacitor.. When i use the product i will write another review
