(More customer reviews)Got this trimmer 2 months back and use it almost every day. It makes precise cuts to within a milimeter, something you don't get with a cheaper model (which made a few of my cards a little less than perfect in the past). No more with the Rotatrim.
This is a solid tool. It is heavy, so be prepared, because if you're storing it inside something; it not only takes up a lot of room, it's also bulky to bring in and out of a cupboard, which I do to avoid it taking up so much counter space. As for durability, there is no question it will last me for the next 20 or 30 years, so I feel the big chunk of change I invested was worth it.
One other negative that might be most relevant for scrapbookers/cardmakers is that because there's a 2-inch-wide plastic finger guard to the left of the blade, you can't do cuts on skinny strips of paper. I have to haul out my old inferior trimmer for that. Guess I could remove it, but I'd probably wind up minus half a finger tip! If you're only cutting large photos/big pieces of paper, I'd say definitely go for it.
