(More customer reviews)I used these badge reels a key chain. I was a little worried because the rope seemed a little thin but it is pretty strong. I only have three keys on the ring and this reel brought them back with no problem. I don't know how long they last as I've broken most of them within two weeks. I sometimes forget that I have the keys attached to them in the ignition and get out of the truck without taking the key out and broke the string. I think though that it will hold up no problem with a key card.
