(More customer reviews)This is a big honkin piece of glass. It shifts the whole balance of your compact camcorder. The sheer size of the convex optics just BEGS for damage.. BUT you will love this lens and use it more than you are thinking right now. Extreme wide angle lenses warp images, and that makes it perfect for dramatic shots of buildings, and I just took some amazing footage at a car show. Shoot toward the sun a bit and you get the great interior lens reflection artifacts that folks at PIXAR work long hours to replicate, and great star patterns around chrome and shiny paint. Very heavy duty lens caps included and be sure to use them. Also a cozy protective bag and an astonishing presentation wood box and tough outer box. Way too much for the money! Did I mention protecting the glass? (It's BIG!)
