Portable power, the ability to charge my iPad, iPhone, Blackberry, etc - all while still in the car. And then quickly plug in at night in the hotel room and recharge. Sounds perfect! The problem was - it simply did not work. I charged it fully after opening the package. It works fine when plugged in - but has no mobile battery power. And the flashlight (which I really didn't care about) didn't work at all.

I have one in my bedroom and the other one is on my work desk. I'm very happy with both of them. As for the blue light it's not that bright I have had no problems sleeping at night with it being in my bedroom. Definitely worth the money you pay. No need to spend so much money on an Apple version of this charger, when this works just as good.

(More customer reviews)This was our first docking station, and I was looking for something that sounded good and looked great, too. I didn't want anything tacky and large, since I'm funny about the way things look. I bought this dock for my sons, who have basic iPod Shuffles. Although they cannot charge them on this unit, there is none, according to Apple, that both charges and plays for the basic Shuffle; perhaps Apple will work on that next. Anyway, we've found it was a good purchase, because my boys can still play their music, by plugging it in, and I can charge and play my iPhone 3Gs; this was an added bonus, since I had read online that the iPhone was incompatible. Now, there is an error message that pops up, when I dock my iPhone, but you simply click "ignore" and use it anyway. (NOTE: I was given that advice by the manufacturer, and it has proven to be OK) The pipe charges and plays wonderfully, and the remote is very handy, though it can't be used at great distances. And, yes, the remote works when my phone is docked! : ) We're very pleased.

(More customer reviews)I would highly recommend this case to anyone. When I originally purchased this, it got lost and I never received it. However, amazon came through with excellent customer service and shipped me a new one with one day shipping for free.
The outside of the case feels soft and somewhat rubbery, although it is rigid. The material isn't sticky like silicone, so dirt and fabric won't stick to it. It is of excellent quality, it's a two piece case but the parts hold together very well and I haven't had any problems with it coming apart. It adds a little bit of bulk to the sides, but I personally don't even notice it. The case fits snugly and feels solid, like it could take a bit of abuse.
The included stand is nice, it's simple and does it's job.
I am very pleased with this case, and I have no complaints whatsoever.

The ChromeDome Increases light output dramatically while still keeping the diffusion properties. You will have up to double the power and efficiency, but the look will be identical. The ChromeDome was made for the LightSphere-Universal and Lightsphere-2 Cloud Model only - it does not work effectively with the clear model.

It can't handle a full on assault from my sub stage amp system (764 watts, true) and it boasts a 1600watt max. But in general, after a bit of Low Pass EQ adjustments and backing off the beast of an amp its doing quite well. Surprise!

Keep in mind that this case is designed to prevent your iPod from slipping off surfaces, not for drops, and it works great for this purpose. Case snaps together solidly, but I would not take it on/off unnecessarily. I was concerned about clearances for accessories-no problem, purchased a ThumbTack mic (also excellent) and it cleared the case with 1-2 mm to spare. Pricey case, but has proved its worth.

(More customer reviews)I know Dayton makes turntable spikes, but honestly, they didn't look quite 'right' to me. I got these instead, screwed 'em in and sealed 'em on my Kenwood KD-2055 turntable with some contact cement, balanced and rotated everything and it sounds incredible. Less surface noise, clarity I have honestly never heard before, tightness all around.
First I popped on the Sundazed reissue of the first Monkees LP (cuz I'm a Monkee Geek)- first track was "Saturday's Child"- I first noticed the 'inky black' background and I felt my heart race. Then the drums and guitars kicked in and I got a buzz from it. Micky's vocal seemed like he was right there in front of me! I've been a Monkees fan since January of 1986 when I was 13, had this song on countless cassettes, CDs, LPs, 8 track and even reel-to-reel, and this song has never ever sounded so good.
Next was my biggest problem LP- John & Yoko's "Milk & Honey"; "You're the One" seemed to mistrack horridly to my ears, even after all the upgrades- but it sound better with each addition. Now? No mistracking at all. What I'd thought was mistracking on Yoko's vocal was actually some sort of reverb. Granted, it's foolish 1980's reverb, but her vocal sounds a lot clearer than it did before.
Now I'm grooving to the mono Simon & Garfunkel's "Parsley, Sage, Rosemary & Mrs. Lowery's Seasoning Salt" (!!! LOL) and though it looks like it went thru 'Nam under someone's boot, there's very little surface noise and clarity that wasn't there before (yeah, I say that alot here).
And yes, the "Saturday's Child" buzz hasn't worn off yet. :-D

Seagate FreeAgent Go Special Edition 640 GB USB 2.0 Portable External Hard Drive and Docking Station ST906403FNA2E1-RK (Black with Chrome Trim) Review

(More customer reviews)I've been through a few external drives - WD Pocket drives, WD raid drives, HP Portable media drives, but the Seagate Freeagent GO is definitely my favorite. It's a very thing and stylish drive which is very reliable (and fast!), with a capacity big enough to hold all of your documents.
Compared to my WD Raid and HP Portable media drives, this one is by far the fastest (copying data through the same connector at almost twice the speed). It's also very stylish and easy to take with you wherever you go.
I originally purchased the normal Freeagent GO drive but after filling it, looked into the Freeagent GO Special Edition for my next drive.
The drive and connectors are all the same - the difference is a chrome trim along the sides, and a glossy black dock. The trim wasn't important to me (although was nice to help differentiate it from my plain black Freeagent GO), but the Dock was very nice. The dock is only available (outside of this package) in a matte white/grey color, not really blending with any of the drives outside of the Silver color. The glossy black dock matches the style of the drive and really gives an overall great appearance.
The dock uses 2 USB ports (although only one is necessary - the 2 USB ports are for older computers which can't power and transfer data with 1 cable). You can also choose to connect the USB cable directly to the drive, bypassing the dock.
One big difference (to me) was the lack of a case for the drive - if you buy the Dock separately in stores, you get a free faux-leather case to hold the drive. This was actually the selling point for me when buying the drive in the first place. The Special Edition only includes the drive, USB cable and the dock (no case). Keep this in mind if you decide to go for this version!
The drive has not given me any issues so far - something I cannot say about my WD raid drive - it's quiet and does just what it's supposed to.
Which version would I recommend? Normal or Special edition?
For looks? Special Edition - the black dock makes a big difference.
If you don't care about looks, or don't plan to use the dock, go for the regular one. It's cheaper, looks just fine and if you do decide to get a dock later on, you'll still be paying less than what the Special Edition costs, and you'll get a case out of it.

But as they say... you get what you pay for. These covers were too big and didn't properly fit over my stove burners. They offered no protection against splatters and spills. In fact, I ended up doing double work; cleaning both the covers and the stove burners underneath. I got so frustrated, I ended up throwing them away. So much for a bargain.

However I've had them just over a month and they already need to be replaced. I've never had to replace headphones this quickly before. Just a few days ago they were working fine, then the slightest movement of the cord would case the sound in the left ear to shut off completely and now any cord movement causes both sides to stop working. Very disappointed.

Toshiba Satellite T235-S1370 13.3-Inch Laptop ( Fusion Chrome Finish in Black) Review

(More customer reviews)Except for one "feature", you can't beat this laptop for its price in the 13", ultraportable, workhorse class. The LED screen is great and this computer's ergonomics are truly world class....the best anywhere. It's sturdy and the exterior form factor makes it feel and handle even lighter and smaller than its 3.8 pounds and actual dimensions.
The dual core Pentium 1.2GHz processor, a crippled version of the iseries, works much better than expected. I do wish the i3 and/or i5 had been an option as well as a 7200 rpm drive but, no matter, it's quite fast enough as it is. The integrated graphics are also really good for integrated graphics...again, the iseries architecture thing.
So, to the 3 star rating -- This laptop and other late model Toshiba's have a power off battery drain issue, or problem....how you view it depends on how you use your laptop. Left installed, the battery will drain at about 10%/day with the laptop turned off.....not sleep or hibernate, but off! Ten days max without use or charging and the battery's dead unless it's been removed. Turns out this is well known among users. Toshiba says it's normal behavior, which is just nuts, and won't address it further. Speculation is this is a motherboard design flaw possibly linked to to the USB port sleep 'n charge feature. Irrespective, please be aware of this and expect it before you buy. If you use your laptop daily and charge it often, or don't mind pulling the battery when it's not going to be used for a few days, this should not be a problem and the T235 remains an outstanding value...a bargain. If, like me, this is a secondary computer used for business travel that can routinely sit unused for a week or more....then it may well be a deal breaker.
**EDIT**...Going in to Toshiba utilities and unchecking both, on by default, Sleep 'n Charge option blocks will semi-cure the power drain problem. Reduces it to about 2%/day, which is at least manageable. So, my rating increases to four stars but that's pretty much it for this otherwise outstanding product. That there is any parasitic drain at all with the computer completely shut off still constitutes a flaw/defect. And Toshiba's refusal to even acknowledge the problem, let alone help, I consider inexcusable.

The "Pyle PLBKA60CR 300 Watts Waterproof Stereo Portable Bicycle/Scooter MP3/Ipod Music Player (Chrome)" is misleading; you would think it would be at least as loud as your average small clock radio. Ok here is the breakdown: the speaker housing and mounting brackets are good quality as is the carrier bag. The let down is the driver (mini amp) it appears to be something out of a bubble gum machine and seems to put out approximately 1.5 Watts X 2 as compared to similar products. This is not what you expect for over $100.oo including shipping, in a word "disappointed".
